Domaine Mabillot Reuilly Blanc 2024: A White of Real Character
White 12.5% ABV ABV MabillotSolid Sauvignon Blanc
Had this at a friend's dinner party and enjoyed it enough to track down a bottle myself. It's got that classic gooseberry and lime thing but doesn't beat you over the head with it. Clean finish that lingers nicely. At £22-odd it's not an everyday buy but it's well made.
Good find
Saw this on a restaurant wine list and decided to order it. Really fresh and zesty — green apple and citrus mainly. I don't know much about Reuilly as a region but this has made me curious to try more from there. The finish surprised me, it just keeps going quietly.
Really nice summer white
Picked this up from my local wine shop on a recommendation and really glad I did. Loads of citrus and passionfruit going on, plus this almost salty minerally thing that makes it super refreshing. Would absolutely buy again for a barbecue or just sitting in the garden.
Nice but a bit pricey for what it is
It's a decent white, don't get me wrong — lemony and crisp with some peachy sweetness. But for nearly £23 I expected a bit more wow factor. I've had NZ Sauvignon Blancs at half the price that deliver similar vibes. Would drink it again but wouldn't rush to buy it.
My new favourite French white
Bought this for my wife's birthday meal and it went down brilliantly with the fish course. The passionfruit and lime flavours are gorgeous and there's this mineral quality that keeps you going back for more. At 12.5% it's not too heavy either so we polished off the bottle without feeling rough the next day.
