Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini Clos St Denis Grand Cru 2019
Red 14% ABV ABV Heresztyn-MazziniBest red I've had in years
The guy at my local wine shop talked me into splashing out on this and I owe him a thank you card. Absolutely stunning — cherry fruit, floral notes, and this mineral quality that I can't stop thinking about. Had it with a slow-cooked beef stew and it was perfect. At 14% it's got some weight to it but never feels heavy.
Worth every penny for a special night
Bought this for our anniversary dinner and wow, it did not disappoint. The dark cherry and earthy flavours are incredible — genuinely complex stuff that kept changing in the glass. At £230 it's not an everyday wine obviously, but for a proper occasion it's hard to beat. The finish just goes on and on.
Really nice, not sure it's £230 nice
Saw this on a restaurant wine list and figured why not, it's my birthday. It's a seriously good red — loads of dark fruit, earthy depth, and a long clean finish. I enjoyed every sip but I'm still not totally convinced at this price point. Would I buy it again? Maybe for another milestone birthday.
Impressive but my wallet is crying
A friend brought this to a dinner party and I'm glad I got to try it without paying for it myself. Really lovely wine — dark fruit, something almost iron-like underneath, and tannins that are firm but smooth. Bit pricey for what it is though, I've had Burgundies at half the price that came close.
