Dom Perignon 2015 Vintage Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Dom PerignonBest champagne I've ever had
My brother-in-law brought this to Christmas dinner and I'm still thinking about it months later. So much depth and complexity compared to regular champagne — you can actually taste different things as you drink it. The finish just goes on and on. I get why people lose their minds over Dom Perignon now.
Worth every penny for a special night
Bought this for our 10th wedding anniversary and wow, it did not disappoint. The bubbles are so fine and delicate, and there's this gorgeous stone fruit thing going on that just keeps evolving the longer it sits in your glass. At £204 it's obviously not an everyday drink but for a proper occasion it's absolutely stunning.
Good but I expected more
Got this as a birthday present and maybe my expectations were too high given the name. It's clean and well-balanced with a lovely long finish, but I was hoping to be completely blown away and I wasn't quite. Still a very nice champagne, just not sure the premium over something like Bollinger is justified for me personally.
The 2015 vintage is special
The guy at my local wine shop told me to grab this vintage specifically and he was right. There's a mineral quality to it alongside the ripe fruit that makes it feel really elegant without being stuffy. Paired it with some oysters and seared scallops and honestly it was one of the best meals I've had at home.
Really good but is it £200 good?
Had this at a friend's birthday and it's genuinely excellent champagne. Beautiful fruit flavours and the bubbles are incredibly fine and smooth. My only gripe is the price — at over two hundred quid I kept comparing it to bottles a third of the cost. It IS better, just maybe not three times better.
