Dom Perignon 2015 Vintage Champagne / Gift Box
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Dom PerignonGood but I expected more honestly
Don't get me wrong this is a nice champagne. Clean finish, well made, all that. But I had it built up in my head as this life-changing experience and it was more like... a really solid champagne? The depth is there if you sit with it for a while but at first pour I wasn't blown away. Maybe I need to try it again with lower expectations and better food than the takeaway curry we had it with.
Christmas Day winner
Opened this Christmas morning and the whole family was impressed. The nose hit you straight away — really aromatic and inviting without being over the top. Balanced perfectly between rich and refreshing at 12.5%, which meant we weren't falling asleep before the turkey was carved. The gift box presentation is gorgeous too.
Finally tried the real deal
Always wondered if Dom Perignon was actually that good or just marketing. Mate got me the gift box for my 40th and yeah, it's genuinely brilliant. Really clean and precise, loads of flavour that keeps changing as you drink it. Not something I'd buy every week at that price but I get the hype now.
Worth every penny for our anniversary
Bought this for our 10th wedding anniversary and wow, it did not disappoint. So smooth and balanced — my wife kept saying how the bubbles felt different from regular champagne, finer somehow. We nursed the bottle over a couple of hours and it honestly got better as it opened up. At £214 it's a splurge but for a special occasion? Absolutely worth it.
Beautiful champagne, hard to justify the price
Had this at a friend's dinner party and it's lovely — fresh, rich, properly complex. You can tell it's a step above your usual fizz. But £214 is a LOT of money for a bottle of champagne. I've had Pol Roger and Bollinger at half the price that I've enjoyed nearly as much. Save it for when someone else is buying.
