Dom Perignon 2009 Rose Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Dom PerignonOpened this with steak and it was unreal
Picked this up on a trip to France and saved it for a special dinner party. Paired it with ribeye steaks and honestly it was one of the best food and drink combos I've ever had. The wine has proper grip and the fruit is ripe enough to stand up to red meat. Everyone at the table went quiet for a second after the first sip which tells you everything.
Worth every penny for a special night
Bought this for our 10th anniversary and wow, it did not disappoint. The bubbles are so fine and elegant, and there's this gorgeous fruit flavour that just keeps going. At £351 it's obviously not an everyday thing but for a once-in-a-lifetime kind of evening, absolutely worth it.
Best champagne I've ever had
My husband surprised me with this for my 40th birthday and I'm still thinking about it weeks later. So complex — every sip tasted slightly different, like layers kept revealing themselves. The finish just lingers and lingers. I get why people go mad for Dom Perignon now.
Lovely but I expected more
Got a bottle as a gift and opened it for New Year's. It's really good don't get me wrong — clean, persistent finish and loads of complexity. But at this price point I think I was expecting it to change my life or something? It's a brilliant champagne, just maybe not £351 brilliant for me personally.
Blew my mind at a tasting
Saw this on a tasting menu at a wine bar and figured when else am I going to try 2009 Dom Rosé. The fruit is so ripe and generous but it never feels heavy — there's a real grip to it that keeps everything balanced. Seriously impressive stuff.
Nice but I've had champagnes I enjoyed more
The wine shop guy recommended this as the ultimate rosé champagne experience. It's well made for sure — great acidity, lovely structure, and it carries its 12.5% really well. But honestly for that money I'd rather buy three or four bottles of something else and enjoy them over a few months.
Incredible but hard to justify the price
Tried this at a friend's wedding and it's genuinely stunning — really intense and direct on the nose, and the acidity gives it this amazing freshness. But £350 for a bottle? I'd have to win the lottery before I'd buy it myself. Glad I got to try it though.
