My new aperitif

The guy in Majestic recommended this and honestly it's brilliant with tonic water and a slice of orange. Clean finish, proper fruity, and it doesn't taste like cheap sweetness. £13.25 is reasonable for something this fun.

Bit too sweet for me

Got this as a birthday present from someone who knows I like port. It's alright — the acidity helps cut through the sweetness and it finishes clean enough. But at 20% it crept up on me and two glasses was plenty. One for dessert maybe.

Great for non-wine drinkers

Bought this for a dinner party because a couple of my mates don't really drink wine. Everyone loved it — it's easy to drink, the fruit flavours are obvious straight away, and it looks gorgeous in the glass. Will definitely get it again for parties.

Decent pink port

Saw this on a restaurant menu and thought why not. It's got a nice fruity smell and the acidity stops it being too sugary. Good over ice on a warm evening but I probably wouldn't buy a whole bottle for home.

Not really my thing

My sister brought this round for dinner and I wanted to like it more than I did. It's fine, perfectly drinkable, but at 20% ABV it's quite strong and I found the sweetness a bit much after one glass. Might work better as a cocktail mixer.

Nice but not amazing

It's a perfectly pleasant pink port. Smells great, tastes balanced enough, and there's a bit more going on than I expected if you actually pay attention. Just not sure I'd pick it over a good rosé at the same price point.

Summer garden discovery

Picked this up for a barbecue last weekend and it was a massive hit. Really fruity and refreshing over ice, not as heavy as you'd expect from a port. At £13 it's a solid buy for something a bit different.
