Collet Brut Rosé NV Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV ColletNice but is it £42 nice?
Look, it's a good champagne. Smells great when you pour it and there's definitely some complexity going on. But forty-two quid is a lot when you can get a perfectly decent prosecco for a tenner. I'd have it again if someone else was buying.
The wine shop guy was right
Asked for a rosé champagne recommendation and the guy in the shop pointed me to this. Really glad he did. It's balanced and interesting — like there are different layers of flavour that come through the more you sip. Not a one-note fizz at all.
Perfect dinner party bottle
Brought this to a friend's dinner party and it went down really well. Everyone commented on how aromatic it was straight out of the bottle. Good acidity that cut through the starter nicely. Felt like a proper grown-up choice without being pretentious.
Birthday treat that delivered
Got this for my wife's birthday and we were both really impressed. Lovely pink colour, proper fizz, and it's got this depth to it that you don't always get with rosé champagne. The finish is clean and it doesn't leave that weird aftertaste some cheaper fizz does. Would absolutely buy again for special occasions.
Genuinely surprised me
I don't usually spend this much on a bottle but it was on offer at a tasting event and I loved it. The fruit flavours are spot on and the acidity keeps it fresh without being sharp. Honestly one of the best rosé champagnes I've had at this price point.
New favourite for celebrations
Picked this up for New Year's and it was brilliant. Poured it and the smell hit you straight away — really expressive and fruity. Goes down dangerously easy for 12.5%. Already ordered another couple of bottles for the next excuse to celebrate.
Solid but not blown away
Had this at a restaurant and it was decent. Well made for sure, nice long finish, nothing to complain about really. Just didn't totally wow me the way I was expecting for a £42 bottle. Maybe I need to try it again with food.
