Saw Collet on a restaurant wine list and decided to find it retail. The nose is really inviting — sort of draws you in before you even take a sip. Properly balanced too, not too heavy at 12.5%. This is replacing Moët in my house from now on.

I'm relatively new to champagne beyond the big names but this Collet Brut is genuinely impressive. There's a depth to it that unfolds the longer you sip — like it keeps revealing more. Picked up two more bottles the next day. Worth every penny of the £36.

It's decent champagne, well made and everything. Good acidity, pleasant enough. But at nearly £37 I think there are Crémants out there that give you more bang for your buck. Would drink it again but probably wouldn't seek it out.

Got this as a gift and it's fine, perfectly drinkable champagne with a clean finish. But I've had £25 bottles that I enjoyed just as much if I'm being honest. The acidity is nice and sharp though, so it went well with the fish and chips we were having.

Had this at a friend's house and liked it enough to track down a bottle myself. Clean and precise, not too sweet, and it's got a nice long finish that keeps you coming back. Solid champagne for the money.

9/10

Bought this for my wife's birthday after the guy in Majestic recommended it. Really glad I did — it's got that lovely biscuity thing going on but stays fresh and crisp. At £36 it's not cheap but honestly it drinks like something more expensive. We polished off the bottle before the starters were even done.

Not a flashy champagne at all — no big brand name, no fancy bottle. But pour it and you notice how precise everything is. Really well structured with fruit and acidity in proper balance. Grabbed it on a whim from an independent wine shop and I'm glad I did.
