Collet Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru NV Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV ColletDecent but I've had better at this price
It's a perfectly nice Champagne, crisp and well balanced with good bubbles. I just feel like there are other Blanc de Blancs around the £40-50 mark that give you a bit more excitement. Not bad at all, just didn't blow my socks off.
Nice but a bit pricey for what it is
The wine shop guy recommended this over a Moët and I can see why — it's more interesting and less sweet. But at nearly £50 I expected to be more wowed. It's pleasant and well made, just not sure I'd choose it over something £10 cheaper.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my wife's birthday and we were both blown away. Really crisp and elegant with tiny bubbles that just keep going. At fifty quid it's not cheap but honestly it felt special enough for the occasion. Would absolutely buy again for celebrations.
Great dinner party Champagne
Served this at a dinner party with some seafood starters and it went down really well. Lovely fine bubbles and a clean finish that made everyone reach for another glass. A couple of friends asked me where I got it, so that says something.
This stuff is gorgeous
Saw this on a restaurant menu and liked it so much I tracked down a bottle for home. There's a real depth to it that surprised me — not just fizzy wine, it actually has layers and complexity. The finish lingers in the best way. Proper Champagne.
Solid Blanc de Blancs
Been getting into Champagne lately and picked this up after reading about Collet. Pure Chardonnay and you can really tell — it's got this bright, clean character that's different from the blended stuff I usually drink. The acidity keeps it lively and interesting. Good but not mind-blowing.
