Good but pricey

Look, it's a nice Champagne. The fruit is ripe and there's definitely complexity there. But £80 is a lot and I'm not sure it blows away bottles at £50-60. I'd say it's one for people who are really into their grower Champagne rather than casual drinkers.

Really impressed

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something different from the usual Champagne. He wasn't wrong. It's got this clean, focused thing going on and the finish just lingers without being heavy. At £80 it's not an everyday buy but I'd happily get it again for a dinner party.

Proper Champagne

Saw this on a restaurant menu and thought why not. You can tell from the first sip this isn't your standard supermarket fizz. There's real intention behind it. The acidity is spot on and the fruit carries everything without needing any sweetness added. Really elegant stuff.

Blanc de noirs done right

Been getting more into blanc de noirs lately and this is one of the best I've tried. Really expressive on the nose and you can tell straight away it's made with care. The acidity keeps everything fresh and balanced. Shared it with friends and everyone wanted to know what it was.

Wow, this is serious stuff

Bought this for our anniversary dinner and it completely stole the show. There's a depth to it that I wasn't expecting — layers of fruit that just keep coming. Zero dosage but it doesn't taste harsh or stripped back at all. Worth every penny for a special occasion.

Interesting but not for everyone

Tried this at a tasting event and it's definitely a wine-nerd bottle. The no-dosage style means it's quite dry and serious — my partner wasn't a fan but I quite liked it. Good fruit and a clean finish. Would say know what you're getting into before spending £80.

Birthday treat that delivered

Got this as a birthday present to myself because I'd seen Clandestin mentioned a few times online. So glad I did. It's brut nature so no added sugar, but somehow it still feels generous and full. The kind of bottle where you keep going back for another sip.

Kept reaching for the glass

Had this with some friends over seafood and it was perfect. Not flashy or trying too hard, just really well made. The finish is clean and kind of makes you want to take another sip immediately. At 12.5% it's easy to drink too, which is dangerous because it's not cheap!
