Cien y Pico Doble Pasta Mancheula Garnacha Tintorera 2021
Red 14% ABV ABV Cien y PicoGood but not amazing
Decent enough red but I expected a bit more for £17.25. It's pleasant and easy drinking with some nice fruit flavours, but nothing that really blew me away. I've had Spanish reds at £12 that I've enjoyed just as much.
Nice weekend bottle
Got this as a birthday present and it was a lovely surprise. Poured it with some burgers on a Saturday night and it was spot on — fruity, balanced, clean finish. Not something I'd have picked myself but I'm glad someone did.
Really impressed with this one
Picked this up from a local wine shop on a whim and glad I did. Really fruity but not in a jammy cheap way — there's proper depth to it. Went brilliantly with a slow-cooked beef stew. At £17 I'd happily buy it again.
Absolutely loved this
I'm still fairly new to exploring wine beyond the supermarket shelf and this was a real eye-opener. So much flavour and it just keeps going — the finish lingers in a really pleasant way. Already ordered another couple of bottles. Goes great with a cheeseboard.
Solid Spanish red
Bought this for a dinner party and it went down well with everyone. Nice and smooth, no harsh tannins which I appreciated. The alcohol is 14% but honestly you wouldn't know it, drinks really easily. Would say it's fair value for the price.
Great find from Manchuela
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something Spanish but different. Garnacha Tintorera is such an underrated grape — gives it this intense colour and real richness. Smells amazing straight out of the bottle too. One of my favourites this year.
