Petra Novak VIPsAllowed - Birthday treat that delivered
8/10

My wife got me this for my birthday and it was a really lovely bottle. Poured it and straight away the smell was incredible — bold and confident, loads of character. Went perfectly with the lamb we had. The kind of wine where you finish your glass and immediately pour another without even thinking about it.

Aiko Tanaka VIPsAllowed - Decent, needs time maybe?
7/10

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and ordered it. It was nice enough but I feel like it was holding back a bit — like the complexity was there but wasn't quite ready to come out fully. Might be one of those wines that needs another year or two in the bottle. Good but not blown away at this price point.

Camila Ortiz VIPsAllowed - Proper Friday night wine
9/10

Picked this up from a local wine shop after the guy behind the counter recommended it. Really glad I did — it's got this deep, layered thing going on where you keep finding new flavours as you drink it. Structured but not harsh at all. At nearly 40 quid it's not an everyday buy but it's genuinely worth it for a special meal.

Jackson Wu VIPsAllowed - Bandol fan converted
8/10

I've been getting into southern French reds lately and this Bandol is probably the best one I've tried so far. It's properly built — firm acidity but everything feels balanced and in the right place. Not one of those wines that's all fruit and no backbone. Would definitely buy again.

Sophia Laurent VIPsAllowed - Stunning with a roast
9/10

Opened this with a Sunday roast beef and it was absolutely spot on. There's a real weight to it that stands up to heavier food but it doesn't feel heavy itself if that makes sense. The finish just lingers really nicely. At 14% it's got some kick too. Already ordered another bottle.

Kofi Asante VIPsAllowed - Good but not cheap
7/10

Had this at a friend's dinner party and thought it was solid. Nice depth to it and the finish keeps going, which I liked. But honestly for £39 I'd probably want a bit more wow factor? It's well made, no question, just felt like it could've punched a little harder for the money.
