Had this with ribeyes on Saturday and it was spot on. Big fruity nose, really confident, and the structure holds up well against red meat. 14% ABV so it's got some kick — we finished the bottle pretty quickly between two of us!

Bought this for my wife's 40th and we were both really impressed. Loads of dark fruit on the nose and it just got better the longer it sat in the glass. At £42 it's not cheap but for a special occasion St. Emilion Grand Cru, I think it's fair.

7/10

It's a nice wine, well made and all that, but at over £40 I was expecting a bit more wow factor. Pleasant enough with a lamb roast and the finish is clean, but I've had St. Emilions at this price that excited me more.

I usually stick to Malbec or Rioja so this was a step outside my comfort zone. Really liked it though, the fruit is upfront and it's not as intimidating as I expected from a Grand Cru. Will definitely explore more St. Emilion now.

The guy at my local wine shop pointed me towards this and I'm glad he did. Really smooth tannins and good depth without being heavy. Needed about half an hour open before it really hit its stride though, so don't just crack and pour.

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and ordered a glass to try before committing to a bottle. It's decent — nice and balanced with polished tannins — but £42 retail feels steep. I'd happily drink it again at £30-35.

Opened this at a dinner party and every single person commented on it. There's a real honesty to this wine — no weird oak bomb nonsense, just proper ripe fruit and a lovely long finish. Already ordered another couple of bottles.
