Genuinely surprised by this one. There's a complexity to it that you don't normally get at this price point — earthy and dark-fruited with a really clean finish. I've had £20 bottles that weren't as well put together. Already ordered another case.

The guy at the wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted a Malbec that wasn't from Argentina. It's good — firm and dry with some depth to it. Had it with burgers on Saturday and it worked well. Not sure I'd pay more than £11 for it though.

6/10

I've been trying more southwest French wines lately and this is a decent example. You get that classic earthy Malbec character but it's cleaner and more structured than a lot of Cahors at this price. Not as rich as Argentine Malbec if that's what you're used to, but genuinely interesting.

It's alright. Bit dry and tannic for my taste, though I'm more of a Rioja person usually. At £11 I was expecting something a bit more fruity and easy-going. My partner liked it more than I did so maybe it's just me.

7/10

Bought three bottles for my wife's birthday dinner and everyone commented on it. Really nice dark fruit flavours and a proper long finish. At 14% it's got some punch to it but doesn't taste boozy at all. Would definitely buy again.

Picked this up from Majestic on a whim and honestly really impressed for the price. Dark fruity but not jammy, and it's got this earthy thing going on that I liked. Had it with a slow-cooked beef stew and it was spot on.
