9/10

Bought this for my 40th and it was absolutely worth it. The brioche and almond thing is real — it's like drinking a really fancy pastry but in the best way. Bubbles were super fine and it stayed lively right to the bottom of the bottle. Would definitely buy again for a special occasion.

Picked this up from a wine shop on the guy's recommendation. It's good — nice citrus blossom nose and decent acidity. Finish is clean and dry which I liked. Just felt like for the price I wanted to be a bit more blown away than I was.

Served this at a dinner party and every single person commented on it. It's rich but not heavy if that makes sense — creamy with pastry-like notes but still really fresh and zippy. Even my friend who normally just drinks Prosecco was impressed.

Don't get me wrong, this is a really good Champagne. Crisp, interesting, bit of almond on the finish. But at nearly £83 I kept thinking I could get two decent Crémants for that. One for special occasions maybe, not a regular buy.

Had this at a restaurant and immediately tracked down a bottle to buy. The toasted almond and brioche notes are gorgeous and the finish just goes on and on. I'm not usually one to spend £80+ on a bottle but this genuinely tastes like it's worth it.

We had this with a Sunday roast and it was brilliant. The richness of it stands up to food really well — you get that creamy stone fruit thing going on but it doesn't feel heavy. My wife said it was the best Champagne she's had outside of France.

My mate who's really into wine recommended Chartogne-Taillet and I can see why. Lovely citrus and stone fruit flavours, and it's got this toasty quality that makes it feel a cut above your average fizz. At £83 it's not cheap but it's genuine quality.

Got this as an anniversary present for my partner. We both loved how smooth it is — there's a lovely warmth to it with the brioche and almond but it finishes really clean and dry. Not your typical sweet-ish Champagne at all. Really elegant stuff.
