Charles Heidsieck Rose Reserve / Half Bottle
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Charles HeidsieckPerfect half bottle for two
Grabbed this for a quiet anniversary dinner and it was spot on. Lovely red fruit on the nose, really lively bubbles, and that acidity keeps it fresh right to the end. The half bottle size is genius — just enough for two generous glasses each without committing to a full bottle at this price.
Great recommendation from the wine shop
The guy at my local wine shop pointed me towards this when I said I wanted a rosé champagne for a dinner party. Everyone commented on it. There's a nice mineral thing going on at the end that keeps you wanting more. Would definitely buy again.
Birthday treat that delivered
My partner got me this for my birthday and wow. The fruit flavours are so vivid straight away, you don't have to sit there swirling and waiting. Really elegant without being heavy at all. Already dropped hints I'd like another one.
Solid rosé champagne
Had this at a restaurant and liked it enough to track down a bottle myself. It's got proper depth to it, not just a pretty pink fizz. £37 for a half bottle isn't cheap but Charles Heidsieck know what they're doing.
Nice but a bit steep
Good champagne, no question. Fruity nose, clean finish, all that. But nearly £37 for a half bottle? That's basically £74 a full bottle territory. I've had rosé champagnes I enjoyed just as much for less. Would buy again on offer though.
Decent fizz, does the job
It's good, like genuinely good pink champagne. Nice red fruit flavours and not too sweet which I appreciated. I just find it hard to get excited about half bottles when the price per ml is what it is. If you're only after a couple of glasses though it makes sense.
Pleasantly surprised
I'm not usually a champagne person but saw this on a menu and thought why not. Really glad I tried it — it's got layers to it that I wasn't expecting. Balanced, refreshing, and that finish just sort of lingers nicely. Might be converting me to the bubbly side.
