Chapel Down Kit's Coty Blanc de Blancs 2019
White 12% ABV ABV Chapel DownProper treat for a special night
Bought this for our anniversary dinner and it was absolutely perfect. Really crisp and clean with loads of flavour that kept changing as we drank it. At sixty quid it's not an everyday wine but for a celebration it's worth every penny.
Birthday present winner
Got this as a birthday gift and it went down brilliantly with the cake afterwards. Really precise and clean on the nose, you can tell it's been made properly. Lovely long finish too. Chapel Down clearly know what they're doing with this one.
Best English sparkling I've tried
I'm not massively into wine but I've been trying more English sparklings lately and this is easily the best one so far. There's a complexity to it that surprised me — every sip tasted slightly different. Already bought another bottle for Christmas.
Good but hard to justify the price
The wine itself is genuinely nice — well balanced, interesting flavours, proper quality. But £60 for an English sparkling? I've had champagnes at that price that I'd reach for first. Would happily drink it again if someone else was buying.
Impressed my in-laws
Picked this up on the recommendation of the guy in my local wine shop. Served it at a family lunch and even my father-in-law who only drinks French stuff admitted it was really good. Clean finish and the acidity is spot on — not too sharp at all.
English fizz that actually delivers
Had this at a restaurant and liked it so much I tracked down a bottle. There's a lovely depth to it that builds as you drink — not just simple bubbles and fruit. The finish is really elegant, just gently fades away and makes you want more.
Decent, expected a bit more
Saw this getting loads of hype online so maybe my expectations were too high. It's a solid wine, nicely structured and the fruit is ripe without being sweet. Just felt like it needed a bit more oomph for the price tag. Would rate it higher at £40.
