Champagne Telmont Reserve de la Terre Rose
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV TelmontReally impressed
Not usually a rosé champagne person but saw this on a restaurant menu and gave it a go. The acidity is spot on — crisp without being sharp. There's a wild strawberry quality to it that's really lovely. Tracked down a bottle to have at home and it's just as good.
Birthday treat that delivered
My husband got me this for my birthday and wow. The strawberry flavour is gorgeous and it's got this lovely freshness that keeps you going back for more. At nearly £80 it's not an everyday thing but for a special occasion it's absolutely worth it.
Solid rosé champagne
Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop recommended Telmont. Really nice red berry notes and it's not too sweet which I appreciate. It opens up loads if you let it sit in the glass for a bit — much better after 10 minutes than the first sip.
The one everyone asked about
Brought this to a dinner party and literally every guest asked what it was. It's so well balanced and the finish just lingers in the best way. Goes brilliantly with salmon if you're wondering. Already ordered another bottle.
Decent drop for a celebration
Got this for New Year's and it went down well. It's quite elegant and not as fruity as I expected which some people might prefer. Tastes like proper champagne rather than just pink fizz if that makes sense. Would've liked a touch more sweetness personally but my wife loved it as is.
Nice but bit steep
Good champagne, don't get me wrong. Clean taste, proper fizz, nice strawberry and redcurrant thing going on. But £80 for a rosé when there are decent ones at half the price? I'd buy it again on offer but probably not at full whack.
