Carlos Mendez VIPsAllowed - Proper champagne, this
9/10

Picked this up for my wife's birthday and we were both really impressed. No added sugar apparently (brut nature) and you can really tell — it's crisp and clean without being harsh. At £47 it's not cheap but honestly it drinks like something more expensive. Will definitely buy again for special occasions.

Marcus Chen VIPsAllowed - Nice but maybe not £47 nice
7/10

Got this recommended by the guy at my local wine shop. It's good, don't get me wrong — lovely mineral quality and the bubbles are fine and persistent. But for nearly fifty quid I expected to be a bit more blown away. I'd probably reach for a decent crémant at half the price most days.

Grace Kim VIPsAllowed - Really well balanced fizz
8/10

Not gonna lie, I don't know much about champagne beyond the big names, but a friend who's into wine told me to try smaller producers. This Gounel Lassalle is really good — clean, layered, and the finish just lingers in a nice way. At 12.5% it's not too boozy either. Felt fancy drinking it on a random Friday night.

9/10

Saw this on a restaurant menu and absolutely loved it so I tracked down a bottle to buy. It's so clean and fresh, with this lovely fruit character that just keeps going on the finish. The 1er Cru designation is legit — this is quality champagne. Already ordered two more.

7/10

Brought this to a dinner party and it went down well with everyone. Pretty dry since there's no sugar added, which threw a couple of my friends off, but I thought it was nicely balanced. Good with the starters, maybe a bit intense for casual sipping on its own though.

Victor Osei VIPsAllowed - Zero dosage done right
8/10

I've been getting into brut nature champagnes lately and this is one of the better ones I've tried. Some no-dosage bottles can taste really austere and sharp but this has enough fruit to keep it interesting. The acidity is bright without making your face pucker. Great with oysters at our dinner party last weekend.
