Champagne Dumangin J Fils Rose NV
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Dumangin J FilsBirthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my wife's birthday and we were both really impressed. Lovely pink colour, great bubbles, and it's got this really expressive nose that hits you as soon as you pour. The finish lingers nicely without being over the top. Would definitely buy again for a special occasion.
Nice but a bit pricey for what it is
Had this at a friend's dinner party and it was pleasant enough. Good bubbles, clean finish, nice fruity character. But honestly at nearly £46 I'd probably reach for a cheaper crémant most of the time. If someone else is buying though, no complaints.
Great for a dinner party
Served this at a dinner party last weekend and everyone commented on it. It's got a really inviting smell — kind of draws you in — and the taste has layers to it without being overwhelming. 12.5% ABV so nobody got too silly too fast either. Will be keeping this one in rotation.
Solid rosé champagne
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted a rosé champagne that wasn't just pretty and actually tasted like something. He was right — there's genuine depth here and the fruit and acidity are properly balanced. At £46 it's not cheap but it's fair for what you're getting.
This stuff is gorgeous
Absolutely loved this. Picked it up on a whim from an independent wine merchant and it's one of the best rosé champagnes I've had in ages. There's proper complexity in the mid-palate that keeps you coming back for another sip. We had it with some smoked salmon starters and it was perfect.
Decent champers, not mind-blowing
I'm still learning my way around champagne so take this with a pinch of salt. It's definitely nice — clean, well-made, pleasant finish that sticks around. But I'm not sure I could tell you why this costs more than some other rosé champagnes I've tried. Maybe my palate needs more training.
