Carlos Mendez VIPsAllowed - Proper champagne, no nonsense
8/10

The wine shop guy steered me toward this when I said I wanted something dry and interesting. He wasn't wrong. There's a real backbone to it, almost savoury, and it lingers nicely. Would definitely buy again for a dinner party.

Mei-Lin Wu VIPsAllowed - Good but bit pricey for what it is
7/10

It's nice, don't get me wrong — fresh, balanced, not too sweet. But for nearly £44 I expected to be a bit more wowed. I've had cavas at half the price that I enjoyed just as much on a Tuesday night.

Aiko Tanaka VIPsAllowed - Solid choice, nothing flashy
7/10

Picked this up for NYE on a recommendation from a mate. It's well made and clean, good acid, decent complexity. Didn't blow my mind but everyone at the table enjoyed it. Would pair well with oysters or just on its own.

Olivia Park VIPsAllowed - Impressed my in-laws
8/10

Brought this to Sunday lunch and even my father-in-law who only drinks Moët said it was excellent. Really structured and serious without being heavy. The extra brut style means it's properly dry which I love. Will be ordering more.

Oscar Delgado VIPsAllowed - Finally a champagne that isn't sugary
9/10

I've been trying to find champagnes that aren't loaded with sugar and this is exactly what I was after. Bone dry but still interesting and layered. The finish just keeps going. Dumangin is my new go-to producer.

Ryan Mitchell VIPsAllowed - Birthday treat that delivered
9/10

Bought this for my wife's 40th and we were both blown away. Really dry and crisp with loads going on — not your typical sweet-ish fizz. At £43 it's not cheap but felt worth it for a special occasion.

Rafael Santos VIPsAllowed - Goes down dangerously easy
8/10

Had this at a friend's house and immediately asked where she got it. For an extra brut it's not as austere as I expected — there's proper fruit depth underneath the dryness. Dangerous stuff, the bottle didn't last long between three of us.
