Solid pick for a special occasion

My wife got this for my birthday after the guy at our local wine shop recommended it. Really clean and well-balanced, not too fruity, not too dry. At £55 it's not an everyday thing but it feels like proper champagne, not just fizz.

Worth every penny

Bought this for our anniversary dinner and wow, it really delivered. Twelve years on the lees and you can taste it — there's a depth and richness that most champagnes at this price just don't have. The bubbles are fine and the finish just keeps going. Will definitely be buying again.

Good but maybe a bit overhyped

Had this at a friend's dinner party and it was nice enough. Quite complex and interesting on the palate, definitely more serious than your average prosecco. But honestly at £55 I'd probably just grab a Pol Roger instead. Still, no complaints.

Classy without being pretentious

Saw this on a restaurant menu and took a chance on it. Glad I did — it's got a lovely weight to it and a clean finish that just makes you want another glass. The 12 years of ageing really shows. Would happily order it again.

This is the real deal

I'm not a champagne expert by any stretch but even I could tell this was something special. Really precise aromas, and the acidity keeps it fresh despite all that ageing. Shared it with friends over a seafood spread and everyone was asking where I got it.

Bit pricey for what it is

Picked this up after reading about it online. It's well made for sure, nice balance and the finish lingers nicely. But at £55.50 I feel like you're paying a premium for the ageing story. I've had champagnes at £40 that I enjoyed just as much. Not bad though, just not sure it's worth the extra.
