Hannah Brooks VIPsAllowed - Interesting but not my usual style
7/10

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and thought I'd try something different. It's definitely more complex than what I normally drink — lots of layers and the flavour sort of unfolds as you sip. I think I prefer something a bit lighter and fruitier to be honest, but I can see why people rate it. Well made for sure.

Liam Anderson VIPsAllowed - Proper grown-up champagne
8/10

The guy at my local wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something a step up from supermarket fizz. It's 100% pinot noir which apparently makes it a blanc de noirs — you can taste the difference, there's a richness and structure you don't get from cheaper stuff. The finish just goes on and on. At £72 it's not an everyday buy but it's genuinely good.

Picked this up for a family dinner and it went down brilliantly with the roast chicken. There's a real weight to it that I wasn't expecting from champagne, and the acidity cuts right through richer food. Clean finish that lingers nicely. My father-in-law asked me to send him the name so I'll take that as a win.

Devon Marsh VIPsAllowed - Stole the show at Christmas
9/10

Brought this to Christmas dinner and it was the talk of the table. Everyone kept saying how different it tasted from normal champagne — richer, more serious, but still really drinkable. The smell alone had people going back for another sniff. Already ordered two more for New Year's.

Luna Chavez VIPsAllowed - Best champagne I've had in ages
9/10

Honestly didn't expect to like this as much as I did. Every sip revealed something new and the finish just kept going. Opened it with some friends on a Friday night and we sat there talking about it for a good ten minutes which never happens with us and champagne. Already thinking about what food to pair it with next time.

Jake Morrison VIPsAllowed - Nice but steep for me
7/10

Had this at a friend's dinner party and really enjoyed it — lovely concentrated nose and the acidity keeps it fresh and lively. That said, at over £70 a bottle I'd probably reach for something else unless I was celebrating. It's good champagne, just not sure it's £72 good when there are solid options for less.

Elena Vasquez VIPsAllowed - Birthday treat that delivered
9/10

Bought this for my 40th and wow, it really lived up to the price tag. The bubbles are fine and persistent, and there's this lovely depth of flavour that kept changing as I worked through the glass. My wife said it smelled like a fancy bakery and honestly she's not wrong. Would absolutely buy again for a special occasion.

I've been getting into grower champagnes lately and this Coessens is a cracker. You can tell it's made with care — the nose is really expressive and keeps shifting, and there's a lovely balance between fruit and acidity on the palate. At 12.5% it's not too boozy either. Worth the money if you're into this sort of thing.
