Emily Thomas VIPsAllowed - Actually impressed
8/10

My sister brought this round when she visited and I wasn't expecting much from a pre-made mulled wine. Really pleasantly surprised though — proper fruit flavour, warm spices, and it doesn't taste artificial at all. Already ordered more for New Year's Eve.

Simon Hughes VIPsAllowed - Better than most mulled wines

I've had a LOT of bad mulled wine over the years and this is genuinely a step up. The spice doesn't taste fake and it's not drowning in sugar. Good bramble fruit underneath too. Wouldn't drink it outside of winter but for what it is, solid.

Not bad at all. Nice dark berry taste with good spice when you warm it up. The 14% ABV means it's got a bit of kick to it as well which helps on a freezing evening. Would buy again if it was on offer but probably wouldn't pay full price every time.

Bought a couple of bottles for our Christmas Eve gathering and everyone loved it. You can really taste the cinnamon and clove without it being sickly sweet like the stuff you get at Christmas markets. At under seven quid it's a no-brainer for the festive season.

Heated up three bottles for about fifteen people at our fireworks party and it went down really well. The clove and cinnamon smell fills the kitchen which is lovely. It finishes clean too — no horrible sticky aftertaste like some mulled wines leave you with.

4/10

Maybe my expectations were too high but I found this a bit one-note. The cinnamon is nice enough but I wanted more depth from it. Also £6.95 feels steep when Aldi do mulled wine for about three quid. It's not bad, just not sure it's worth the premium.

Marianne Blom VIPsAllowed - It's fine but nothing special
5/10

Picked this up from the local shop because the label caught my eye. It's decent enough warmed up — nice berry flavour and the spices come through. But for nearly £7 I expected a bit more honestly. You could probably do just as well buying cheap red and adding your own spices.
