Bottega Gold Prosecco
Sparkling 12.5% ABV ABV BottegaBit pricey for what it is
My partner got this as a birthday present and it was fine but I wouldn't pay £22 for it myself. Tastes like a perfectly nice prosecco with some apple and almond on the finish. The gold bottle is cool I guess but you're paying for the packaging really.
Perfect for brunch
Saw this on a menu at brunch and ordered a bottle for the table. Everyone loved it. It's got a really nice balance between the fruit sweetness and the fizz, not too dry and not too sweet. The finish lingers in a really pleasant way. Great with eggs benedict if anyone's wondering!
My new favourite prosecco
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something a step up from the usual supermarket prosecco. So glad I listened. There's a creaminess to the bubbles and layers of stone fruit that I've never really noticed in a prosecco before. The nose is incredible too, really generous and floral. Worth every penny.
The gold bottle is a conversation starter
Bought this for New Year's Eve purely because the bottle looks amazing, but it actually tastes really good too. Proper fresh and fruity with apple and stone fruit flavours. The bubbles are really fine and creamy which I wasn't expecting at this price. Will definitely buy again for special occasions.
Solid prosecco, nothing more
It's a nice prosecco. Smells lovely — lots of blossom and orchard fruit — and drinks well. At £22 though, you can get some decent cava or even cremant for that, so it depends how much the fancy bottle matters to you. Good but not mind-blowing.
Reliable crowd-pleaser
I keep one of these in the fridge for when people come over because the bottle always gets comments and it genuinely tastes good. Crisp, fruity, easy to drink. At 12.5% it doesn't knock you sideways either. Goes with pretty much anything or just on its own.
