Bonnaire Terroirs Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Champagne: Prestige in a Flute
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV BonnaireSolid champagne, bit different
The guy at my local wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something a bit more interesting than Moët. He wasn't wrong — there's a hazelnut flavour that I've never really noticed in champagne before. Good stuff, though I'd probably save it for occasions rather than buying regularly at that price.
Our new go-to for celebrations
We cracked this open on New Year's and it was the star of the evening. Really dry and crisp with a kind of chalky mineral thing and toasted hazelnuts — sounds weird but it works brilliantly. My partner who normally only drinks prosecco said this was on another level.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my wife's 40th and we were both blown away. Really creamy bubbles with this amazing nutty, toasty thing going on. At £43.50 it's not cheap but honestly felt worth every penny for a special occasion. We finished the bottle way too fast.
Best champagne I've had in ages
Had this at a friend's dinner party and immediately asked where they got it. The apple and nutty flavours are gorgeous and it's so smooth going down. Ordered two bottles the next day. Pure Chardonnay apparently which I'm told is what blanc de blancs means — learning something new!
Nice but maybe slightly overpriced
It's a really good champagne, don't get me wrong. Lovely biscuity, nutty taste and proper tiny bubbles. But £43.50 is creeping into territory where I'd want it to absolutely knock my socks off, and while it's very good it didn't quite get there for me. Would happily drink it again if someone else was buying though.
