Bollinger B16 2016 / Gift Box
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV BollingerReally good but hard to justify the price
Tried this at a friend's dinner party and it's genuinely lovely — fresh, layered, loads going on. But £115 is a lot when there are solid champagnes at half that. If someone else is buying though, absolutely say yes.
Bollinger knocked it out the park
The guy at my local wine shop recommended this over the regular Bollinger and he was right. It's got this clarity to it where you can taste everything really distinctly — ripe fruit, crisp acidity, the whole lot working together. Had it with some roast chicken and it was perfect.
Best champagne I've had
My wife got me this in the gift box for my 40th and wow. The finish just lingers forever in the best way possible. I'm no expert but I know what I like and this is properly special. Already planning to grab another bottle for Christmas.
Worth every penny for a special night
Bought this for our anniversary and it was absolutely stunning. Really expressive on the nose, you could just sit and smell it for ages. The bubbles are super fine and the whole thing has this depth that kept surprising me sip after sip. At £115 it's not cheap but honestly felt like a treat we deserved.
Good not great for the money
Had this at a tasting event and it's definitely quality stuff — nice structure, proper depth, finishes clean. But I kept thinking I'd be a bit gutted spending £115 on it when the 2012 vintage I tried last year blew me away more. Still a solid 7 from me though, wouldn't turn it down.
Solid champagne, nice gift box too
Got this as a thank you gift for my parents. They said it was brilliant — clean finish, not too sweet, really well balanced. The gift box presentation is smart as well which saved me wrapping it. Dad said it was better than the Moët they usually get so I'll take that as a win.
