Bodegas Nekeas Blanco 2023
White 12% ABV ABV NekeasSolid white for the price
Had this at a friend's BBQ last weekend. Pleasant enough, nothing that blows your mind but genuinely enjoyable. The acidity keeps it interesting and it went down very easily with some grilled fish. Would buy again if I spotted it.
Perfect dinner party wine
Bought two bottles for a dinner party and everyone kept asking what it was. You get loads of aroma as soon as you pour it which is always a good sign. Light at 12% too so nobody was falling asleep by dessert. One of those wines that's easy to drink but still has something about it.
Nice surprise
Not a wine I'd heard of before but saw it on a list at a restaurant and ordered a bottle. Clean, balanced, doesn't try too hard. It builds on you a bit as you drink it which I liked. The low ABV is a bonus for a Friday night when you don't want to feel rough Saturday morning.
Decent but expected more
Bit pricey for what it is if I'm honest. It's clean and easy drinking but at nearly £16 I'd want a bit more going on. That said the finish is nice and it's not one of those whites that tastes like nothing. Just maybe wait for an offer.
Spanish white that actually delivers
The guy in the wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something different from the usual Sauvignon Blanc. It's got a bit more depth than I expected and the acidity really works. Good with a chicken salad on a warm evening. I'd give it a solid 7.
Really nice find
Picked this up from our local wine shop on a whim and glad I did. Really fresh and crisp with a lovely clean finish that just makes you want another glass. At £16 it's not an everyday buy but it's proper good for a midweek treat when you want something a bit nicer.
