Worth every penny for a special night

Bought this for our 10th wedding anniversary and wow. The bubbles are super fine and it just keeps giving you more to taste the longer you sit with it. At £141 it's not an everyday thing but for a big occasion it's absolutely spot on.

Best champagne I've ever had

My brother-in-law brought this to Christmas dinner and I'm still thinking about it months later. So expressive on the nose, and the finish just goes on and on. I don't usually spend this much on wine but I've already ordered two bottles for myself.

Good but bit steep

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something special for my wife's birthday. It's really nice, don't get me wrong — clean finish, complex flavours, proper quality champagne. But at £141 I think you can find similar for less. Would I buy it again? Probably not at full price.

Saw what all the fuss was about

Kept seeing Billecart-Salmon mentioned online so finally splashed out on the Nicolas Francois 2008. I get it now. There's a confidence to this champagne — it doesn't try too hard but everything is just right. The finish lingers in the best way. Treat yourself if you can afford it.

Incredible depth for champagne

I've been getting more into champagne lately and this Billecart-Salmon is something else. It's a 2008 vintage and you can tell the age has done it good — there's so much going on but it never feels heavy or overdone. Really elegant stuff.

Lovely with a cheese board

Picked this up for a dinner party and it went down a treat with the cheese course. Bright acidity that cuts through rich food perfectly. Everyone kept commenting on how good it was. The 12.5% ABV means you can have a few glasses without it catching up with you too fast.

Classy stuff

Had this at a restaurant and liked it so much I tracked down a bottle. Really layered and interesting — you get different things every time you take a sip. The acidity keeps it fresh and lively without being sharp. Solid champagne if you're willing to spend a bit.
