Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose NV Champagne: A Toast-Worthy Cuvee
Champagne 12% ABV ABV Billecart-SalmonNice but not sure it's £75 nice
Don't get me wrong, this is a solid champagne. Good bubbles, nice biscuity flavour with some fruit. But I've had champagnes at half the price that I've enjoyed just as much. Bit pricey for what it is if I'm being honest.
The one that got me into rosé champagne
A mate brought this to a dinner party and I've been obsessed ever since. So fresh and crisp but with this lovely toasty depth to it. I've now bought three more bottles and I'm not even sorry.
Really good but have to mention the price
Tried this at a wine bar after the waiter recommended it and yeah, it's delicious — beautiful pale pink colour and the finish goes on forever. But £75 a bottle is steep. I'd save it for birthdays and Christmas personally.
Blew my mind at a wedding
Had this at my cousin's wedding reception and immediately asked what it was. There's this gorgeous rose petal and strawberry nose and then the palate has a creamy richness that just works. Tracked down a bottle for myself the following week.
Perfect with seafood
The wine shop guy pointed me towards this when I said I wanted something for a seafood dinner. It was incredible — really clean acidity that cuts through richer fish dishes and a dry mineral finish that keeps you coming back for more. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend is spot on.
Worth every penny for a special night
Bought this for our anniversary dinner and it was absolutely stunning. The strawberry and brioche thing everyone talks about is real — it's like drinking a really fancy pastry. At 75 quid it's not an everyday buy but for celebrations it's hard to beat.
