Bereche & Fils Les Beaux Regards 1er Cru Extra Brut 2020
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Bereche & FilsReally nice but not sure it's £103 nice
Had this at a restaurant and liked it enough to track down a bottle. It's genuinely good — lovely backbone of acidity and a finish that keeps going. But I've had Champagnes at £60-70 that get me almost as excited. One for a treat rather than a regular buy.
Lovely but had to think about the price
The guy at my local wine shop recommended this and I can see why he rates it. Really clean, well-made Champagne with proper structure to it. Bit pricey at over a hundred quid though — I'd want a special reason to buy it again.
Best Champagne I've had in ages
My wife got me this for my birthday and wow. There's so much going on — layers of flavour that kept changing as I drank it. The finish just hangs there in the best way. Bereche are seriously underrated.
Special occasion winner
Bought this for our anniversary dinner and it was absolutely the right call. Really crisp and focused, not one of those generic fizzy Champagnes that all taste the same. The acidity keeps you coming back for more. At £103 it's not cheap but for a celebration it's worth every penny.
This is what good Champagne tastes like
I'm relatively new to spending proper money on Champagne and this was a bit of a revelation honestly. It doesn't just taste fizzy and dry like the cheaper stuff — there's real complexity and the finish is so clean. The 2020 vintage is a keeper.
Dinner party hit
Opened this at a dinner party and everyone wanted to know what it was. It's got this amazing clarity to it, like you can actually pick out individual flavours rather than just tasting "Champagne." The acidity cuts through rich food brilliantly. Will definitely be reordering.
Decent but maybe overhyped
Saw a lot of buzz about Bereche online so grabbed a bottle of the Les Beaux Regards. It's good, no question — nice structure, interesting flavours, doesn't just disappear after you swallow. But at this price point I expected to be more blown away than I was. Would try their other cuvées before buying this again.
