Noah Williams VIPsAllowed - Great little half bottle

Picked this up from Waitrose on a whim because I wanted something different with some tapas I was making. Really salty and dry with this almond thing going on. For £8.50 you get a proper sherry experience and the half bottle is perfect if you're not sure you'll like it.

My mate swears by Manzanilla so I gave this a go. It's very dry and briny — almost like drinking the sea? I can see why people are into it but I think I prefer something with a bit more fruit. Fine quality though, just not for me.

I spent two weeks in Sanlúcar last summer and fell in love with Manzanilla. This is genuinely good — proper flor character, really clean acidity, and that dried herb finish keeps you coming back. £8.50 for a half bottle from Barbadillo is a steal. Been buying these regularly now.

14% hit me harder than I thought it would for something this light-tasting. The brine and salt flavours are quite intense. I had it with some manchego and jamón which helped but on its own it's a lot. Half bottle is the right call honestly.

Saw this on a restaurant menu and thought why not. I normally drink reds so this was totally different for me. Very dry and savoury with a salty edge I wasn't expecting. Glad I tried it but I'd probably share it with someone rather than drink a whole bottle myself.

Bought this for a dinner party where we were doing prawns and fish. The salty, mineral character worked so well with the food — everyone kept topping up their glass. The chamomile freshness is real, you can actually taste it. Half bottle was gone in about ten minutes between four of us.

Solid everyday Manzanilla. Clean and salty with a herby finish that lingers nicely. I wouldn't say it blew me away but it does exactly what you want from a Barbadillo. Good with olives and crisps on a Friday night.

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted to try sherry. It's well made and the almond dryness is interesting. Bit more acidic than I expected. Would probably buy again but wouldn't rush out for it.
