Jason Steel VIPsAllowed - Good dinner party sherry

Brought this along to a friend's paella night and it was a hit. Nice warming nose on it, quite concentrated and complex without being heavy. At 14% it's easy to keep sipping. Would buy again for that kind of occasion but probably wouldn't reach for it on a random Tuesday.

I've been getting into sherries lately and this Oloroso is a great entry point. Bone dry, clean finish, and the balance is spot on — nothing harsh about it at all. Under £15 as well which is a bargain compared to some of the fancier ones I've tried that didn't taste much better.

Yasmine Najjar VIPsAllowed - Not really my thing
5/10

Got this as part of a mixed case and it was a bit too dry and oxidised for me honestly. I can tell it's well made but I think I just prefer something fruitier. My dad loved it though so maybe it's more of an acquired taste. Decent enough at £15 but I wouldn't buy it again myself.

Oscar Delgado VIPsAllowed - Really solid for the price

Picked this up from Majestic after someone on Reddit recommended it. For £14.95 you get a proper dry sherry with loads of that nutty, aged character. No sweetness at all which I liked — went down a treat with some manchego and olives on a Friday night.
