- Great little birthday treat
Bought this as a treat for my birthday because I didn't need a whole bottle. Lovely apple and brioche notes, and it's got this really elegant finish that keeps you going back for more. Ayala don't seem to get as much hype as the big champagne names but this is genuinely good stuff.

- Solid but not mind-blowing
Had this at a friend's house and thought it was decent. Nice enough bubbles, good fruity flavour with a bit of citrus. It's fine champagne but I wouldn't say it blew me away — there are proseccos I enjoy just as much for half the price.

- A bit pricey for a half bottle
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something nice but not over the top. It's clean and well-made, I'll give it that, but £23 for a half bottle feels steep. I kept thinking I should've just spent a bit more and got a full bottle of something else.

- Perfect half bottle for two
Grabbed this for a weeknight dinner with my partner and it was spot on. Really crisp and fresh with a nice bready quality to it. For under £25 you get proper champagne that doesn't taste like you've cut corners. Will definitely buy again.
