Anysbos Tesame 2020
Red 14% ABV ABV AnysbosSolid South African red
The wine shop guy recommended this and I'm glad he did. There's a lot going on — it keeps opening up the longer you let it breathe. Nice clean finish too. Would buy again but probably only for a special occasion at that price.
Interesting wine, glad I tried it
Saw this on a restaurant menu and figured I'd give it a go since I'd never heard of Anysbos before. Really clean and well-defined — you can taste each flavour separately if that makes sense? Not a fruit bomb, more restrained and elegant. Would happily drink it again.
Good but bit pricey for what it is
It's a decent red, don't get me wrong. Well made and everything's balanced nicely. But £26.50 feels a touch steep — I've had wines at £18-20 that gave me similar enjoyment. Maybe I'm missing something.
Birthday treat that delivered
Got this as a birthday present to myself and no regrets. At 14% it's got some weight to it but doesn't feel boozy at all, which is impressive. The flavours just keep coming in waves. Had it with a steak and it was perfect.
Really impressed with this one
Bought this for a dinner party and it went down really well. Lovely deep fruit flavours and the tannins are firm but smooth — held up great with a slow-cooked lamb shoulder. At £26.50 it's not an everyday bottle but it's genuinely good stuff.
