Solid South African red

Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop recommended it. It's good — nicely balanced with a clean finish that doesn't leave that dry chalky feeling. At £26.50 it's not an everyday bottle but it's fair for the quality.

Birthday treat that delivered

Got this as a birthday present to myself and no regrets. The acidity keeps it really fresh and lively, not heavy at all despite being 14%. Went brilliantly with a lamb stew. One of those bottles where you keep going back for another glass.

Nice but a bit steep

It's a well-made wine for sure, quite complex with lots going on. But honestly for nearly £27 I expected to be more blown away. I've had South African reds at £15 that gave me more excitement.

Really impressed with this

Bought this for a dinner party and it was a hit. Really aromatic when you pour it, like properly fragrant not just "red wine smell." The flavours keep changing as you drink it which I loved. Would definitely buy again.

Perfectly fine, not mind-blowing

I'm still pretty new to wine beyond supermarket stuff so take this with a pinch of salt. It was nice enough, smooth finish and no harsh bits. But I'm not sure I can tell the difference between this and something half the price yet. Maybe I need to keep practising!

Good with food

Had this with a cheese board and some grilled steak and it paired really well with both. It's got enough depth to stand up to red meat but the acidity stops it being too heavy. Decent wine, maybe not one I'd drink on its own though.

Interesting wine, takes its time

This one needs a bit of patience. First sip I wasn't sure, but as it opened up it got way more interesting — layers of fruit that sort of unfold gradually. Not a gulp-it-down wine, more of a sit-and-savour one.

Absolutely loved this bottle

Saw this on a restaurant menu and ordered it on a whim. So glad I did. The nose is gorgeous, really expressive and inviting. Everything about it just works — fruit, acidity, finish. Tracked down a bottle to have at home and it was just as good.
