Agrapart & Fils 7 Crus Brut Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Agrapart & FilsNice but steep price tag
The wine shop guy recommended this as a step up from our usual prosecco and yeah, it's noticeably better. Good structure, proper depth to it, not just fizzy and sweet. But at £67 I'd have to really think about buying it again when there are solid champagnes for £40.
Proper champagne
Had this at a dinner party last weekend and immediately asked the host where they got it. The nose is genuinely interesting — everything smells really distinct and clear, not just generic 'champagne smell.' Went brilliantly with the starter and the cheese course. Already ordered a couple of bottles for myself.
Gets better as you drink it
First glass I thought it was nice but nothing crazy. By the second glass I was properly impressed — there are layers to this that keep revealing themselves, and the acidity is spot on without being sharp. The 7 crus thing actually seems to mean something here, it's not just marketing. Would buy again for a special dinner.
Special occasion winner
Bought this for my wife's birthday and we were both blown away. Really complex — you get different things with every sip, and it's got this lovely clean finish that keeps you going back for more. At nearly £70 it's not an everyday buy but for a celebration it's absolutely worth it.
