July's Wine Club spotlights Barolo Marchesi di Barolo 2017 — the "King of Wines" from Piedmont, made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes.
We'll taste it alongside a Barbaresco to explore how the same grape expresses differently across these two legendary appellations.
You'll need:
- 1 bottle Barolo (2017 or comparable vintage)
- 1 bottle Barbaresco (for comparison)
- A decanter — Nebbiolo benefits from generous aeration
- Some aged Parmigiano-Reggiano (optional but recommended)
