- Solid choice for the price
Bought this for a dinner party and it went down well. Nice and fruity without being too sweet, and the finish is really clean. Not the most complex port I've ever had but perfectly good for the money.

- Expected a bit more
It's fine but I've had better LBVs for similar money. The fruit is there and it smells great, but I wanted a bit more richness for a Fonseca. Maybe I just caught it on a bad day. Would probably try a different vintage next time.

- Decent but not a sipper
Bought this to have something nice after Christmas dinner. It's good with food or cheese but on its own I found it a bit intense. Smells amazing though, really dark and fruity straight out of the bottle. Would buy again for the right occasion.

- Great with cheese
The guy at the wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something for a cheese board. He wasn't wrong — it's bold and fruity and stands up to strong cheddar no problem. Good structure to it and doesn't feel too boozy despite being 20%.

- Proper port this
Picked this up from Majestic on a whim and honestly really impressed. Loads of dark fruit on the nose and it's got this lovely thick texture from being unfiltered. At twenty quid it's a no-brainer for after dinner with some stilton.

- Birthday treat that delivered
Got this as a birthday present from my brother who knows I'm getting into port. Really intense dark berry flavours and it's got a weight to it that feels serious. The 20% ABV doesn't show at all which is dangerous honestly. Will be buying more.

- Best port under £25
I keep coming back to Fonseca and this unfiltered LBV is probably my favourite of theirs right now. So much going on — layers of dark fruit, a nice acidity that stops it being cloying, and that unfiltered texture is just lovely. Absolute bargain at around twenty quid.

- A bit much for me
My partner loves port so I grabbed this off the shelf. Personally I found it quite heavy and the 20% hit me more than I expected. She loved it though and said the fruit flavours were really well balanced. Probably one for port fans rather than casual drinkers like me.
